Schedule

Beginning the Journey August 5th!

You can meet me this year at the Eisteddfod. I will be there throughout the event. After the Eisteddfod, I will walk through Porthheli, Cricciaeth and Portmadog before going to Myrthyr Mawr for the Between the Trees Festival. Phil’s Festival Schedule 2023:

Post COVID the festival world is coming back to life and so is our work in that world. We will be at work sharing the love of God in the world of festival goers once again. This year, Phil’s festival schedule will be less active than usual as he prepares for his yearlong journey in Welsh. That journey will begin in August of this year.

The Hay Festival (Hay-on-Wye, Wales) Volunteering at the world famous book festival at the picturesque book tome of Hay-on-Wye. May 25-June 4
HowTheLightGetsIn (Hay-on-Wye, Wales) Happening concurrently with the Hay Festival, I split my tie between festivals and this think-a-thon that bills itself as the “world’s largest philosophy festival”.
Glastonbury Festival (Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, England) working once again with the Iona community in their outreach into the world’s most famous music festival. June 21-25
Welsh National Eisteddfod (Boduan, Llyn, Eifionydd) This event will mark the beginning of Phil’s yearlong all Welsh-language walk across Wales. August 5-12
Between the Trees (Merthyr Mawr Nature Reserve, Wales): August 25-27

Weekly:

Weekly Open Mic upstairs at Palace Vaults at Su’s Cocktails in Caernarfon. Every Wednesday evening. Doors open at 7pm, Open Mic 8-10pm, Open Jam time 10pm-midnight.

Pastor Phil is developing a team of festival micro-church planters: people who are willing to create communities in the settings of the world’s transformative festivals, and want to return to these festivals each year as a resource for friendship and blessing to others. Artists, counselors, builders, cooks, carneys, pastors, thinkers, teachers, care-givers of all sorts, and lovers of people – call us, email us, join us. We are looking for people interested traveling and changing the world. We are a group of Jesus-following people, but our friends and compatriots include people from all walks of life.

If you are interested in having Phil speak on the variety of subjects having to do with interacting with people from other religions, or those from the fringes of society in our wildly changing world, you can reach him by email at salempastorphil (at) gmail.com
