Saw this wonderful little program called “I Write Like.” I plugged in multiple examples of my current writing including sonnets, theological rambling, and more. I was both excited and disconcerted by the results.
I entered some of my most complex stuff, and some sonnets and the result was that I write like: drum roll please…
I write like H. P. Lovecraft. Proof: http://iwl.me/s/147eabd8
Woo-hoo!
Then I entered some of my other writings – some of which I thought were my better examples, and here was the result:
I write like Dan Brown. Proof: http://iwl.me/s/cfe99843
*sigh* Well, he has sold lots, but I can’t read it and stay interested. Does that mean I would not read my own books? Hmmmmm…
I plugged in a few more examples, and Cory Doctorow and Vladimir Nobokov popped up. I have no idea what either one of those writers writes like, guess I should find out.
