Could it be possible that Jesus turned the tables in temple over, and is waiting for us to right them and use them as they should be used? Not as places for the power structures to maintain their position, or as places to establish new power structures, but rather as places of open and caring interaction – a house of prayer, not a den of thieves robbing power and acceptance from one group to give to another.
